Dr. Dana Truesdale's journey is marked by academic excellence and a commitment to service. She is a native of Vacherie, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Dillard University of New Orleans, LA in 1999 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry (Nashville, TN) in 2004. Following this, she completed her General Practice Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Truesdale is CEO of Innovation Dental Center, a company she started in 2013. She practices comprehensive dentistry with special emphasis on the oralsystemic connection between the mouth and the entire body. Dr. Truesdale is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, American Dental Society, and The Academy of General Dentistry. She studied at the Pankey Institute and Vivos Institute.
Dr. Truesdale was voted Baltimore’s Top Three Rated Dentists. Recently she was honored during Women’s History Month by the Maryland Air National Guard. She has been invited to be a guest speaker at schools, churches, and community events. She has been featured in dental magazine articles and newspapers as a contributor to her community. Dr. Truesdale believes in serving the community as she volunteers as a mentor for a group called Queens in Transition and The First Ladies of Edgewood. She prides herself on encouraging people and challenging them to be the best version of themselves.
Her dedication to learning extended beyond dentistry as she earned a Diploma of Ministerial Studies from Spirit of Faith Bible Institute in 2015. Dr. Truesdale's service extends to her country as a Major in the Army National Guard, where she served in Afghanistan. Additionally, she is actively involved in community service through her membership in the Dream Maker Network Foundation and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Dr. Truesdale is a mentor and frequent speaker at special events. Dr. Truesdale's passion for dentistry is evident in her gentle approach and genuine concern for the entire well-being of her patients, reflecting her commitment to helping others achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. She is committed to establishing a network of emergency dental services that cater to the needs of individuals from all walks of life. Dental emergencies know no boundaries, and her goal is to ensure that everyone has access to prompt and compassionate dental care when they need it most.
